Building a peaceful and equitable society through youth participation, human rights advocacy, and sustainable development.
AJPRODHO–JIJUKIRWA is a youth-led nonprofit organization in Rwanda, established in the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Guided by a vision of healing, justice, and sustainable peace, the organization believes in the transformative power of young people to lead the way toward a more just and equitable society. With a diverse membership of around 150 individuals—80% of whom are under the age of 35—AJPRODHO–JIJUKIRWA promotes inclusive leadership through gender-balanced governance and community-driven initiatives. Its work is anchored in the principles of human rights, social justice, and socio-economic development. By creating spaces for civic engagement, advocacy, and capacity building, the organization empowers Rwandan youth to actively contribute to national development. Through grassroots programs and strategic partnerships, AJPRODHO–JIJUKIRWA nurtures a generation of informed and responsible young leaders committed to equality, dignity, and lasting peace.
